About
Hey there, my name is Joe and I’m a web developer from Miami, Florida. I currently work as a front-end developer for Dell, I joined the Dell team after working at Alienware (a Dell subsidiary) for over a year. My responsibilities include writing JavaScript, ActionScript 3.0, CSS, XHTML and some C# for various ongoing projects. If you haven’t noticed I’m fascinated with Internet technologies so I spent most of my time researching, learning and experimenting with these technologies.
Besides the techie stuff I also like business, finance and anything that is related to money! therefore I decided to go back to graduate school where I’m working towards completing Florida International University‘s MBA program, where I also got my Computer Science degree in the year 2005.
The purpose of the website is to serve as a central hub that connects all my other online profiles( twitter, facebook, digg, yahoo, etc…) to a common place. It also serves as a place to showcase my projects, ideas and random thoughts.
A little more about my…
College Life
During my sophomore year I obtained my first internship at Parmac Solutions in Coral Gables, Forida. During my tenure with them I learned C# and the .NET framework which was a new technology back then (2003); by the end of that year my internship was over. In the year 2004 I started to attend FIU’s ACM(Association for Computing Machinery) chapter meetings and started participating in some of their activities.
During my time as an ACM member I served as a tutor, secretary and webmaster. Being an ACM member I had the opportunity to represent the school at the 2005 South East Regional Programming competition held at Florida Institute of Technology. I have to say that I had fun and learned a lot being an ACM member.
